Dora Kamber

Dora Kamber was born in Dubrovnik. She  accomplished her first musical education in Luka Sorkočević Art School,  in the class of prof. Žarko Grego. As a scholar of the Dubrovnik City, she graduated in 2006 at the Music Academy in Zagreb, in the class of prof. Marija Ćepulić. In the same year she enrolled in pedagogical training of Suzuki method, with prof. Jeanne Janssens (Belgium). Under the mentorship of prof. Marija Ćepulić and Dr. Vjera Katalinić, she specialized in historical informed performance at the Music Academy in Zagreb (2017) on the topic Articulation in Mozart and Beethoven’s violin sonatas. She attented seminars of the prestigious world renowed pedagogues such as Asja Kouchner, Alice Shoenfeld, Jennifer WardClarke, Catherine Mackintosh, Therese Caudle, Merit Palas, Jeanne Janssens, Marianne Rygner, Felicity Lipman, Marja Olama, Bela Detrekoy, Tove Detrekoy, Alexsander Gilman … She won prizes at regional and state level competitions. During her studies, she performed as a soloist with the orchestra of the Music Academy within cycle Virtuoso. She regularly performs with various ensembles in the country and abroad. She also played solo with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra.  For the last ten years she works as a violin teacher at the Luka Sorkočević Art School in Dubrovnik and her students  actively take part and win prizes  at regional, national and international competitions. She performs occasionally as a member of RIM organization.
