The Play Dubrovnik project, in concert walks, aims at domestic and foreign visitors to discover the spaces of Dubrovnik’s musical past.

Musical performances by pianist Ivana Jelača at selected locations within the historic city centre, accompanied by guidance in Croatian and English, bring historical facts and stories interpreted from the perspective of an artist who works at the international artistic and research scene, and whose professional and personal identity have been strongly influenced by the Dubrovnik cultural environment.

The guidance and selection of the musical repertoire, conceived as a historical tour through the rich musical history of the Republic of Dubrovnik, as well as modern performative forms, creates an unusual experience of Dubrovnik’s cultural environment, marked by cosmopolitanism for centuries.

Lucija Vuković, senior curator of the Cultural and Historical Museum in the Rector’s Palace, participates in the program.

This is a continuation of the long-lasting cooperation of The Rest is Music NGO with the Dubrovnik Museums and the Dubrovnik Libraries. The cooperation is realized in partnership through audience development projects, as well as the development of sustainable cultural tourism.

The author of the project is Ivana Jelača, the creative leader of The Rest is Music NGO.
